During the Festival

Auditorium - National Orchestra of Lyon

Saturday, December 10, at 6 p.m. – Organ, dance and video

The Auditorium’s organ wears a thousand colours in a unique spectacle in which sound and light become one. Listening to a sound awakes a vision of colours; a smell conjures up images! This is the adventure Pierre-Yves Fleury and his friends have in store for you. Using a complex computer process, set according to precise musical criteria, the sounds emanating from the organ are analysed by computer in real time and translated into visual impressions. The most beautiful pieces from the repertoire thus trigger ethereal videos or are translated into colours by mapping (the projection process highlighting the details of monuments in the Festival of Lights). Dance mixes into this festival of senses for a complete feeling of pleasure.
