Matthieu Tercieux, graduated from the Ecole des Beaux Arts of Mulhouse, develops his work on video with the feedback video effect, manipulation and diversion of materials (cable, mixing table, screen, video editing).
He creates interactive scenographies for live performing art and events like the Fête des Lumières. He works on diverse festivals and companies in France, and abroad especially with the choreographer Andreas Schmid and the theatre director Arpad Schilling.
Former editions of the Fête des Lumières:
2008 : « Face-to-face with his shadow »
2010 : « You are here » - City Hall, Lyon 4
2011 : « You are here…and somewhere else – Artistic residence » - Lyon 3
2013 : « The Abyss » - Lyon 2
Make light appear suddenly from the depths! Just make the pavement and the monuments move with your footsteps to activate a secret mechanism which will open the square under your feet. Don't miss this opportunity – it only happens on the thirteenth year of each millennium.
Interactive audio-cartography, « You are here…and somewhere else » is the refined version of the « You are here » installation presented at Croix-Rousse in 2010. A video projected on the ground makes the visitor travel. Interactive images appear: from computer matrixes to children’s drawings.
Played again at:
Reims Scènes d’Europe 2012, Reims
The ironic words « You are here » appear at the feet of passers-by crossing the forecourt of the Town Hall in the 4th arrondissment. Those willing to take part just need to follow the instructions for the video installation to see surprising animations on the ground. Pictograms, lines, circles and coordinates: the space becomes an interactive and entertaining human map.
Project supported by the association « Aimez-vous Brahms ? »
