Lyon artist Yves Caizergues has been working in the world of entertainment, architecture and events for 20 years. A faithful contributor to the Festival of Lights since 2007, he is now one of its ambassadors, taking works all over the world, from Singapore to Toronto. His spectacular installations always prove to be hugely successful – audiences still remember his famous disco ball on the Fourvière Basilica in 2014. He is also a prescriber and consultant working on a range of projects for the Festival, including for Sébastien Lefèvre or the Anookis. For the triptych on show at the Grand Hôtel-Dieu this year, the lighting designer has teamed up with Lyon composer Merovee and TETRO, the company behind the prodigious GRID in 2013. The result is an immersive light path that sublimates the recent renovation of the monument.
