Lyon inspires Lumiere London

The return of the famous phone booth for fish!

This festival was organized by Artichoke, a charity specialized in art, which is also behind the light festival that has been held every two years since 2009 in Durham (northeast England). Artichoke confided that it was inspired by the Lyon Festival of Lights.

This festival received special support from London Partners, an organization that has a hand in tourism, international trade and major events.

Installations created in Lyon thus traveled to London for a few days, so that the English public and tourists could admire: Garden of light by TILT (2012), Dresses by Tae Gon Kim (2012), Les Luminéoles by Porté par le Vent (2011), Elephantastic by Top’là Design / Catherine Garret (2011), KeyFrames by the LAPS Group (2011) and Aquarium by Benedetto Bufalino and Benoît Desaille (2007).

Artists such as Patrice Warrener, Jacques Rival and Lab(au), who participated in the Festival of Lights, exhibited their projects on Westminster Abbey and at King’s Cross.
