Drawing inspiration from Panamarenko and Santos Dumont, Jean-Pierre David has always dreamed of being a bird. Floating in the air has been the leitmotiv of his artworks for more than 20 years, in fact since founded Aérosculpture in 1998, giving birth to projects such as the famous Aéroplume. Jean-Pierre is an obsessive inventor, forever experimenting with new technology and his inflatables have already soared over the skies of Japan, Turkmenistan and even the Great Wall of China.  Light became a natural component of his work, embodied in his creations to provide an endless spectrum of dramatic and artistic possibilities.
