FLOWER POWER is a mix of digital and electro-mechanical technology that exploits the principle of retinal persistence. The light, when it has turned into matter, forms concentric flashes and infinite spirals similar to multi-coloured flowers. The device – which is invisible – only lets traces of LED light appear, which eventually blend in with the transparency of the night. It was while carrying out research into the planet Saturn that the artist succeeded in creating rings of light through the combined action of light and speed. This installation will take you away on a hallucinatory and digital flight without any mind-altering drugs. It’s a contemplative project that champions the values of love and peace with no other purpose than to offer flowers to the spectators.
