Patrice Warrener has been a regular at the Festival of Lights since 1997 with a dozen of his creations featuring in the lineup. Patrice gained enduring international recognition for his invention of the so-called “chromolithe” technique at the end of the 1980s. A graduate in graphic arts from the Estienne design and printing school, he began his career in son et lumière shows and electronic music. His lightbulb moment and the secret of his success? The invention of a system for projecting light onto monuments the world over! Lyon City Hall, Les Célestins Theatre and Place des Terreaux have already hosted his projections which revisit historic landmarks to the delight of visitors.
