He defines himself as a "movement engineer", as others are sound engineers. A biomechanist by training, Rémi Brun considers motion to be a material in its own right and has been capturing it for the last thirty years for video games, films, virtual reality and scientific research. He’s also interested in the psychological aspects of his work and has carried out psychoacoustic research with the deaf and hard-of-hearing. As part of his artistic process, Rémi Brun defends an emotional and subtle approach to the immaterial power of movement. He currently runs the Mocaplab studio, which he founded in 2007.
