Jakob Kvist created an interdisciplinary studio in Copenhagen, Denmark’s largest city. Each project is approached holistically factoring in the history of the location, architectural details and the surroundings. His installations in public spaces create suggestive but never oppressive atmospheres with tailored use of colour gradients and light intensities. His approach is minimalist with an undeniable purity. By playing with a multitude of lighting and material techniques, the studio has developed a visual language that takes advantage of day-to-night transitions and varying light conditions to enhance delightful architecture.
