Les Lumignons du Cœur

In remembrance of the origins of the Festival of Lights, an appeal is made to the citizens of Lyon and festival visitors on December 8 every year to show their generosity by contributing to the Lumignons du Cœur campaign. Buy a candle for €2 at any Festival of Lights information point, the Tourist Office, and many city centre booths and shops. The proceeds are donated to a different charity each year. This year’s charity cause is a local non-profit Alynea – Samu Social 69. Alynea has been supporting vulnerable people for fifty years.
