Pedestrian areas in the city center

The festival area will be closed to traffic for all four days from 05:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 December and from 06:30 p.m. to 00:30 a.m. on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 December. This restriction also applies to motorcycles and bicycles. Only the emergency services will have access. 

Car parks

  • The following car parks are open during the Festival: Hôtel de Ville, Opéra, Cordeliers, Place de la République, Bourse, Saint-Just

  • The following car parks will be closed (entrances and exits) from 6:30 p.m. to midnight (5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday and Sunday): Terreaux, Célestins, Bellecour, Antonin Poncet, Saint-Antoine, Saint-Georges and Saint Jean

  • Disabled parking: A 15 m stretch of Quai Jean Moulin between Rue de L’Arbre Sec and number 10.

To help pedestrians move around easily, there will be no parking from noon on the roads between the main attractions. Signs with details about the parking restrictions will be installed on the roads concerned at least 72 hours before the event. These are the roads affected:

TCL (Public Transportation)

The public is asked to use public transport. During the Festival, extra services will be provided on the metro, tramway and some bus lines.

Tickets are valid throughout the network: subway, tramway, funicular and bus transfers are permitted. All subway, tram stations and buses are accessible to persons with reduced mobility (except the Croix-Paquet subway station).

"Parc relais TCL": 21 park&ride spaces available free of charge with a valid TCL transport ticket.

On Wednesday, 8 December, there will be free public transport from 4 p.m. until transport services end.

On Thursday 9, Friday 10 and Saturday 11 December, you can travel wherever you please from 4 p.m. until services end for just €3,20 per evening with the “TCL en Fête” ticket. The ticket is on sale at the system’s automatic ticket machines and in TCL’s offices.

Unlimited travel tickets: 24h (6,20€), 48h (12€), 72h (16€)
