Julia Dantonnet’s work focuses on light, its power to transform and what it reveals. Having graduated from Nancy Art School in 2001 and the Paris ENSCI School of Industrial Design in 2006, she is now regularly involved in sculpture projects. The artist designs and produces objects that incorporate the versatility of light that is inherent in public spaces and architecture. Her working space is defined by shifts between light and darkness, where shapes and signs fluctuate, disappear or illuminate a place where light is alive and vibrant, but never fixed. For her first participation in the Festival of Lights, she will be occupying the courtyard of the Musées Gadagne.
