Montée du Gourguillon

Contenu

This winding cobbled street leads from Fourvière down to Saint Georges in the old town affording magnificent views over the city. In the adjoining Impasse Turquet, visitors can admire a few medieval-style houses with wooden galleries.

In Roman times, it was the only street leading to the banks of the Saône and in the Middle Ages it linked the town of St Just to Lyon.
