Situated to the west of Lyon, La Duchère has undergone urban regeneration and now offers a choice of new housing and public amenities: childcare centres, primary and secondary schools, a gymnasium, municipal library, sports grounds, indoor athletics tracks, an open-air swimming pool and social and community centres. It’s an area with a lot going for it: 40% green spaces including the 11-hectare parc du Vallon and good public transport links making it much nicer place to live.
