An encounter with a silent tribe, with motorised totem poles erected in the gardens of the Fondation BULLUKIAN. Half deity, half robot, these silhouettes project images and sounds onto the façade, giving a glimpse of secret worlds and fragments of dreams. This installation encourages us to open our minds and challenge our perceptions. Soi-même is a cocktail of education, creation, inclusion and state-of-the art knowledge on autism spectrum disorders; a truly exceptional collaborative – and caring – project. The artists – video designers, scenographers and choreographers working with a group of young people with autism living locally and a team from the specialist home education unit of Le Vinatier psychiatric hospital – spent several months exploring the various strata of their world. They put their heads together to create a unique show blending storytelling, body language, sound, and video mixing in a melting pot of creative expression.

In a nutshell
AADN advocates the development of hybrid art and digital culture in the form of artworks, residences, workshops, a creative community and organising unconventional events.
Created in Lyon in 2004, it has been leading projects which push back the frontiers of our imagination and awaken a desire to create a post-digital society which is sensitive, caring and sustainable. It leverages experimentation and cooperation in its quest to shape a new form of togetherness..
