Twist & Shine is the gateway to an ever-changing illuminated landscape, enchanting adults and children alike. The installation consists of 100 illuminated prisms which can be twisted and remodelled ad infinitum. Visitors can play, build, observe or join forces to create a collective art form. Some sculptures can be easily moved by children, others will need several people, creating a natural opportunity to cooperate and encouraging different generations to interact. We are counting on the grownups to help the kids!
The installation keeps changing, continuing to tell the story imagined by the previous visitors. The result is never static: it expands, changes places, grows or shrinks to reveal architectures, passageways or even a miniature city. Illuminated by rechargeable low-energy LEDs, the sculptures are made of 60% recycled plastic and can be fully recycled in turn. It’s a collaborative installation where light becomes a play thing.
