What did art represent for the Romans? What role did art play in the city? What status did artists have? How did the Romans react to Greek art? Come and see some exceptional works from France and Italy and immerse yourself in the world of art through the Romans’ eyes.

Plastic artist Prune Nourry is staging a rather singular sensorial exhibition where visitors experience each art work through touch. Empreintes is her response to a life-changing experience leading to a quest to awaken the senses and to another stage of her very personal artistic journey. When Prune found out that she had breast cancer in 2016, she became aware of the importance of her sense of touch which had been impacted as a side effect of chemotherapy.

The city is outlined in light - from St-Jean Cathedral to Fourvière Basilica - on the façade of the To-Lyon Tower. The monuments converse, come together and recount the story of Lyon in a poetic and captivating fresco . Gradually the lines converge to reveal the contours of the To-Lyon Tower, symbolising a city which is united, community-minded and forward-looking.
