Place Saint-Nizier

Contenu

The church was essentially rebuilt in the fifteenth century on the site of a first church which contained the ashes of Christians martyred in Lyon in 177. It was a burial place for bishops during the sixth and seventh centuries, including Saint-Nizier. Construction continued on the building until the nineteenth century (north spire).
