In a nutshell

Accroche
A musical instrument with strings made from light that vibrate, quiver, and communicate in a choreography where sound becomes substance and light appears to turn into music.
Contenu

These strings made from light appear to float above the water in Place de la République. Created using narrow laser beams, the luminous lines undulate, twisting and changing shape in a slow, hypnotic dance. The installation features mirrors that create myriad reflections: the lines multiply on the surface of the water, drawing strange figures that resemble the strands of a DNA double helix.

With its meditative calm and unexpected bursts of speed, Harp invites us to contemplate this living material and the vibrations that are transferred from one string to another, like the memories and legacy passed down, transformed, and reinvented through the generations.
