Soleils de rue – street suns - is the subtitle of this artwork on display in the Grôlée district. Five discs are suspended in the air like moving stars: the light circles, flickers and moves from one to the other, evoking the cycle of the seasons.

The artwork takes its inspiration from heliotropism – the ability of plants to follow the sunlight. The artists have carefully observed sunflowers whose familiar spiral structure reveals a sacrosanct geometric principle reminiscent of the rose windows of cathedrals where light takes on a sacred beauty. We are captivated by this contemplative work which illustrates the relationship between humankind and nature accompanied by background music featuring the sound of insects or a babbling stream.
