In a nutshell

947 preloved lamps of all shapes and sizes are congregating on place Bellecour. Could one of them be yours?

Who knows, your old bedside or desk lamp might feature in I ♥ LIGHT, a message of love to light and a homage to the tradition of December 8 in Lyon. Designed by the collective Fils de Créa and installed slap bang in the middle of place Bellecour, the 6-metre-high letters are illuminated by 947 lamps of all shapes and sizes. They come from collection points in two local town halls as well as Le Foyer Notre-Dame des Sans-Abri charity shops. How can we fail to be won over by this dazzling declaration of love expressed by this collaborative and eco-friendly installation built on the virtue of generosity. Listen up! The soundtrack includes the voices of children recorded during after-school activities in various parts of the city.
