The Direction of the Public Lighting is a direction within the City of Lyon which leads and insures the perennial lighting of the city. It has taken part of the Fête des Lumières since the beginning by sharing its know-how and its technical support.

Every year since 2005, the Direction has offered the illuminated path which leads the visitors during their wanderings and settles this particular atmosphere very specific to the Fête des Lumières. The service has also designed an installation since 2004 with the lighting of the Parc de la Tête d’Or’s greenhouse.

Former editions of the Fête des Lumières:
2005 : « The lighting falls » - Fourviere Hill
2006 : « Saint-Jean on stage» - Cathedrale Saint-Jean
