Lionel Bessières has been a light designer and scenographer with the Quartiers Lumières agency of Toulouse since 2006. He first assisted Pierre Bideau, one of the leading names in architectural light design, with whom he worked on prestigious projects such as the lighting of the Eiffel Tower or the sound and light events for the Loire Valley castles. Later, he became the technical manager for a Paris company specialized in staging.
Today, his work is oriented toward permanent light design and lighting for events that combine scenography, video creations, light and sound. His installations can be interpreted in several ways through a variety of dreamlike settings. He participated in the Festival of Lights in 2008, White Night in Brussels, the 2014 White Night in Paris and the Trees and Lights Festival in Geneva.
