The Instituto Cervantes was set up in 1991 to showcase Spanish and Latin-American culture and language. It’s head office is in Madrid, but it has branches in more than 70 big cities worldwide. In Lyon, it is housed in a very unusual Art Deco building on Montée de Choulans and boasts a delightful view over the city. The Instituto Cervantes is a long-standing partner of the Festival which has helped forge links with Spanish artists and has taken its collaboration further this year by hosting an installation for the first time.
