Place des Terreaux: an arena of light right in the city centre
Place des Terreaux is the beating heart of the city and the Festival and every year visitors are excited to discover the light show it will host. Surrounded on all sides by the façades of city hall and the Fine Arts Museum, it offers a fantastic backdrop for immersive large-scale light shows that are the talk of the town! Particularly impressive examples include Le Grand Mix des Inook and light projections which completely transform the buildings around the square. This year, gastronomy will be in the spotlight.

Tête d’or park: installations paying tribute to mother nature
This large urban park provides the perfect natural backdrop for the works of light artists. Its trees, lake, formal gardens and pathways are the ideal setting for poetic, mindful installations often inspired by nature. Every year, the park hosts several different installations offering festival-goers an immersive sensory journey. This year, visitors will look up to the skies to enjoy an innovative ballet of light over the lake.

Quelques sites historiques

Place des Jacobins: a central square with a monumental fountain
The main streets of the city centre converge on place des Jacobins which is famous for its fountain. Over the years, it has been disguised as a monumental clock, a star-studded sky and even a giant night-light. Its central location and white marble sculptures make it the perfect setting for mesmerising visual installations. In 2025, the fountain will be getting a new makeover - this time as a lighthouse.
