For the duration of the Festival of Lights, the Saint-Jean cathedral becomes an experience, a journey, an invitation to personal and collective contemplation. Over the course of this projection, our relationship with the passage of time – from the intimate to the universal – is called into question. It invites us in, to a place where serenity and ultra-high-definition visuals merge. Glowing particles, electroacoustic signals, fragments, and allusions: Filip Roca leads us down conceptual paths to reveal a rising tide of optimism. He creates intricate images from algorithms, with a string quartet providing the musical themes. He tries out his surprising and thought-provoking experiments on us, and takes our senses hostage! At the foot of this historic façade, a contemplative mood washes over the crowd... This is an extraordinary yet accessible artistic performance that explores the unnerving beauty of the passage of time.
